BIG DAY!

Well, a big day to me. I received my first honest-to-goodness royalty check in the mail today. After years of working on this book and struggling through the publishing, promoting and selling of the book, it was great to see that check I the mail box. It wasn't a huge check but still, it felt like a milestone of sorts. I can now call myself a professional writer...hot damn. Thanks for everyone's support.

I have hired a wonderful actress, Kelly Riha to read from my book at the March the 2nd  UCO event. I am not a great reader in public so for everyone concerned, this is a good thing. Hope to see you there.

very excited, been invited to present my book, discuss, answer questions, sell and sign books. Also, I will be giving away posters of the illustrations from the book and there will be reading from the book by professional actors cause god knows I can't do it. Please come out and support my first public event as a writer.

 

FULL Circle Book Store

Got an email from the premier book store here in Oklahoma City, Full Circle Book Store, requesting my book for one of their customers. That was very exciting for me because it meant that the word of my book is slowing getting out there. I delivered a book to them, which they bought and I ordered several more for them to carry in their store. Now I will have a physical presence in a book store here in town, which is so cool. I have realized that this book game is a marathon, not a sprint and that it all takes time and a lot of planning.  

Somethings Brewing

I have been invited to do a presentation about my book at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond Oklahoma on March the 2 of this year. I don't have all the details yet but will post them when they get finalized. I do know it will be at the Pegasus Theater and it will be a book signing too. Very cool.

Busy Busy

It's only the 3rd and it's been very busy already. I have taken duel art exhibits for April the 3rd, one in Oklahoma City and one in Tulsa, insane, I know but both are great spaces and I already have the work for both shows. On April the 18, I will have my first book and print signing at JRB Art at the Elms in Oklahoma City. It is a wonderful art gallery in the heart of the arts district here in OKC.

The book has already sold a few copies since the first which I find interesting because I haven't done any real advertising/social networking in about a week so...hopefully we can keep that going.
